The realities of being celebrity are nerve-wracking. I don't believe that being perfect is something that they want to be, but they're required to as a part of their profession. As perfect as they may look on camera, most of them probably just want to eat a cake, lay back and forget their obligations. And it's not that being a bit overweight, or dressing casualy is automatically associated with the people with "lesser status," on the contrary, it says something about unrealistic and inhumane expectations that celebrities have to uphold. Danny Evans, the creator of the page, gives us a glimpse of an alternative reality.
And because of this, we can see them as mere mortals, or enviously think what they would've looked like if they hadn't broke through into stardom. And as strange as it is, it's somewhat easier to imagine that they are more approachable, or could be someone that we may meet in our lives. It's a reminder that stars aren't that far away as the public image wants you think.
People had varying reactions in regards to this. Some see it as harmless entertainment—no celebrities were harmed in the making of these photos—while others have, perhaps accurately, noted that being fat, or out of shape, having bad makeup, and other details are unfairly associated with poor people.
