For some, old and abandoned locations are sort of like driving past a car crash, most of us will at least look, but for some, it’s a fascination. Generally, the things we see are representations of when everything goes right. Abandoned and broken things are the fail state, something less commonly found out there.
It’s a unique opportunity to see the effects of time, from peeling and decaying paint, to the impact of nature on man-made structures. Some folks are fascinated by the eeriness of the structures, or perhaps like documenting the signs of human day-to-day life before the entire place was left alone.

After all, when someone says they are into urban exploration, we tend to understand that as investigating old, mostly unused buildings, not just walking around a city. While some part of urban exploration is just a desire for adrenaline, as these locations are generally closed for a reason, it is still very human to want to discover something new and unseen.
