Day 12.
Team.
Today I realized I truly miss the competitive nature of being on a college team. I miss the two-a-days where we would wake up at the crack of dawn to go do conditioning only to be followed by weight training and then later in the day hit the pitch and practice the game. I miss how I was so determined to play for them that I put in endless hours of improving myself outside of the team practices. I had true motivation, dedication, and determination. I was unstoppable in my mind. I was given an opportunity that not many receive, since I was a walk-on, and I will forever be grateful. I just miss it.
Super Pumped.
If it isn't obvious, I am beyond pumped to be warming up for my first ever D1 soccer game. Playing in competition that would challenge me and my abilities. Goodness how I worked for it.
Anticipating...
Playing left back was the first position I played. It was the position where I fell in love with the sport and decided soccer was life. Now my main position is center back and occasionally center mid.
And Snatched it.
Now my main position is center back and occasionally center mid. Defense is where I shine. I don't like to be beat so basically I'm a predator and the offense is my prey. I win. I decided to give mid a chance because I really enjoyed setting the tempo of the game and now I crave to play the position.
