'On The Wing' - a joint project between the Wingspan Bird of Prey Centre and the Rotorua Museum, Rotorua, NZ - was a project that involved the release of three endangered New Zealand falcons into an urban setting, for the very first time, in Rotorua. nnThe New Zealand Falcons (Karearea) are rarer than the Kiwis. I have had the unique opportunity of photographing the three falcons (two males and a female) ever since they were chicks right up to the point when they fledged and beyond...nnThe images below show a flight sequence between the male (Hatupatu) and female (Te Rangi Rere I Waho).
