French photographer Gregory Herpe photographs Celebrities, Rock and Movie Stars.
The first time, he had the opportunity to take a celebrity picture was after he found out that David Bowie was visiting Paris. Bluffing by pretending to be a photographer from Rolling Stones Magazine, he managed to take a picture… Using his Pop-Art style, on this particular image, gave him direct access to a Press Agency.
After every photo shoot, Gregory Herpe remakes the picture by incorporating technical computer elements and reworks them as a visual artist. His concept; creating special effects by mixing digital and argentic photography and adding a little bit of provocation, glamor, sex and anachronism into the images. Staging is very important in his photographic work, no doubt the influence of theater and cinema as he was an actor and director for many years.
