Behind Tubby Nugget are Josh and Jenine, a lovely couple spreading happiness in the form of comics! According to the creators, Tubby Ngget started off as little doodles to cheer them up or share with friends and family. Fast forward some years and now it is a source of happiness for more than one million people around the world! "It’s been a dream of ours to create a plush toy based on our beloved character, and now it's grown to be so much more."
The artists have shared with Bored Panda that creating Tubby Nugget helped a lot with depression and anxiety. "We thought maybe people on the internet could use some nugget content too. And when the account grew a lot faster than we had anticipated, we both decided that we wanted to keep doing this as our full-time jobs—and now, long story short, we’re here!”
