In no uncertain terms, this began as many other projects begin. A pinch of annoyance, a dash of arrogant refusal to accept that which is considered ‘the way it is done’ and most importantly an overwhelming obsession with Denim.
Originally a simple attempt to tinker with the alchemy of denim design, this cultist project has become my daily process working towards an ideal. An exploration through the potential of a single man brand in an industry where product has become secondary, in a discipline built around a rich heritage of craft and process.

CULT OF ONE, is an ideal. It is a process of development and craft, whereby each piece is made by one set of hands, from start to finish and treated as the unique piece it is.
After generations of designers and manufacturers, what happened to the craftsmen who cared about the product they made. If a brand is a promise to its customers, then a craftsman should be proud enough to handle each of their products.

BATCH ONE - UNIT ONE: 13oz cone mill selvedge denim and 100% natural 12oz canvas, trimmed with locally sourced leather and a steel carbines
UNIT ONE: side profile with hand applied nickel rivets and 40mm cotton tape buffer to seal
UNIT TWO: core denim, 13oz Cone mill selvedge denim with locally sourced leather, 8mm nickel rivet (hand hammered) and 40mm cotton tape
UNIT TWO: A5 scale
UNIT THREE: 11oz left hand twill denim, triple coated with a all natural beeswax coating and tried with local leather
