The person behind the fun little project wanted to remain anonymous, so they let Ted and Ed introduce it. "For our human housemates, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic is much the same as everyone else, a restriction in freedom," they told Bored Panda. "However, it's not without its benefits for they have been able to spend much more time with us, resulting in many new friendships with all the neighbors."
The daily activities were simply in response to the pandemic which the UK and the wider world has found itself facing. After seeing other families put their bears in front of their windows, Ted and Ed decided that perhaps they could take up a different activity each day to provide a little extra entertainment for those passing by. "We have since learned that the other bears stemmed from the popular children's book We're Going on a Bear Hunt."
The human housemates set up the daily activity after a quick morning brew and chat about what the weather is going to be like that day. During the preparation, there are usually lots of other excitable ideas discussed which go on to form the basis of future activities."All our neighbors have been very supportive of our affairs and have come to tell us how wonderful it is to see families and people turning on to our street beaming with a smile," Ted and Ed added.
"We have made many new friends across all the ages and regularly receive little notes and pictures expressing their gratitude at the joy our activities have brought to them. Ted loves the pictures we receive and has begun a new memories wall so we can look at them each night while I pen our responses to be left out for collection the following day."
