Raise your hand if you experienced this at least once: you want to watch a movie with your love one and you spend more time fighting over what too watch then actually enjoying the movie. Yep, we've all been there.
But a student startup at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Zwolle, The Netherlands, aims to fix this annoying problem with their new online service called VUXE.
According to recent research, couples spend 19 minutes on average scrolling Netflix before taking a decision. But the team plans to reduce this to merely a couple of clicks on VUXE.
The beta version will be launched on the 8th of June, as part of a tech event. The service will work in a simple way: firstly, both of the members of the couple will create an individual account on the website. Then, they’ll mark the movies that they have seen, liked or disliked. The last step is to connect both of the accounts via a code that they receive.
Once they are connected, the couple will receive movie recommendations tailored to its preferences. They will also be able to rate the accuracy of the recommendation after they watched the movie.
The beta version will be available worldwide at www.vuxe.it at the beginning of June.
