Nick’s first experience with Comic Con was back in 2014 (also in New York) when he was working as a writer for Rickey.org. “I had press obligations at the time and so I ended up spending much of my day in the interview area, speaking with casts from various programs and typing up articles. So I didn't get to wander the convention floor as much as I might have liked. But I loved that experience, and it's what ignited my fandom for comic conventions.”
According to Nick, this year’s Comic Con New York was far more chaotic than most due to the bigger attendance, but still very exciting. “It feels like more of a community when people turn out in big numbers, even if it can get cramped. Then again, I'm typically there to just look at cool cosplay and make videos.”
When asked about the most exciting thing about conventions like Comic Con, Nick expressed his vast interest in cosplay: “I love the cosplay. The creativity and ingenuity of cosplayers is something that will never cease to impress me.”
“I found the Savitar outfit from The Flash Season 3 particularly impressive, along with the Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask cosplay.” continued Nick. “There were also some clever outfits like the Rick Roll YouTube costume and Adam Savage's No Face outfit.” All of these cosplays are featured in this article.
