#1 I Bought This Holographic Portrait, And Hung It Up Next To My Bathroom Mirror

If you’re thinking of starting your bathroom makeover, pull your seat closer. We reached out to Eva Taute, interior designer and interior stylist based in Amsterdam, Netherlands, who runs the website “Hygge Styling,” who shared some great advice.
“Start with two things: the atmosphere you want to go for and work that out into materials and colors,” Taute said and added: “For example: calm, cozy, bright - then think about beige colors, warm woods, and possibly white stone to bring in the brightness. If you don’t have a lot of daylight, then think about built-in ceiling lights to fill the space with light.”
She continued: “Secondly, look at your space and how you can make the most of it - create a floor plan and think about how you will move in the space.”

There are tons of wonderful bathroom decoration ideas, and this one really big trend in Europe is one of them, Taute argues. “It’s using water-repellent cement plaster to bring an even and calm feeling in the bathroom. Built-in faucets and niches in the walls for easy storage as well as free-standing bathtubs and faucets bring an elegant feeling into a bathroom,” she said.

When asked about new trends and styles in interior design that have emerged recently, Taute said that this is the year of the feminine. “The round organic structures and forms are coming back in almost every furniture piece being designed right now. Though the last years, calm colors have reigned, I think there will be a wave of bright colors coming into the trends soon,” she explained.
