Speaker said pot was entry drug , but, cost mattered a lot . Heroin & meth are cheap . Fentanyl is mixed with meth here, One young lady was arrested 26 times & did eventually get clean . When I was on the grand jury we took a tour of the jail & 86% of inmates were in for drug related reasons. This scourge affects good families , as well as the indifferent ones. Sadly, the speaker said they do not want to work, i.e. , watching a parenting video , to receive a needed crib, or, getting a part time job to get a rent voucher. There is hope, though .People are basically good.

Testing waters for cyberbullies.. I was at a service meeting today & the wonderful speaker was a former drug addict , who used anything she could get her hands on. She is now head of one of our local non profit agencies . She said kids can start in elementary schools to be cool with friends . One slightly older boy was 13 when his mother injected him with meth. One younger boy came into her office with a bloody nose from snorting meth. His cousin died the same day injecting it. This speaker places a lot of blame on poor parenting skills , children's overuse of cell phones , bad friends, & , online dependence. She had one client that lost 1child, then 2 , then 3 , then 4 children & the grandparents are now raising them. Single fathers are raising children of drug addicted mothers. Non married single fathers must go through the courts & be DNA certified to care for the child. Without that, the father can be arrested for kidnapping The drug tragedy hurts us all.
