You missed the entire point of my post, but thanks for engaging anyway

Using popular characters gives it help, as it has to live up to an entire cinematic universe. Big Hero 6 was promoted (and the story changed a bit to this end) as a film completely unrelated to anything else, and it was certainly aiming at a younger age. If Big Hero 6 were released today as an MCU film, I honestly it would be doing as poorly as Eternals is now. Anywho, thanks for reading and engaging.

Nothing wrong with using obscure comic book heroes as the inspiration for a movie. I mean, "Big Hero 6" was based on a very obscure comic, and it was fantastic! So I'd say the problem here is that "The Eternals" isn't fantastic, not that they're failing to use popular characters.
