Had the same experience in preschool. Mom came to pick me up with a perm. Her hair had been stick straight my whole life. It took a lot of convincing before I believed her or my teachers and I'm proud of my preschool self because I refused to go home with a *stranger*.

We had an issue last year, crows on the farm I’m on, we get along (I fed them peanut butter sandwiches weekly), til one weird a*s day one broke in and ripped my female quails heads off and didn’t eat anyone, just killed them for fun. I was so upset and the farmer noticed and shot that particular crow when he was back to get the rest of the female quails, that crows family/murder, were happier than ever after and I feel like we killed the arsě hole crow of their family that no one liked 😂 I expected and all out war. And side note, I noticed after it all the A.hole crow has carefully and slowly picked apart the metal sheeting to their window of their coop in a way you couldn’t notice, I leant on it and it pushed out and it figured out that is how the crow did it.
