Thanks TC. Yes Iceland feels like some other planet. Did not notice the glass but the water smells of sulphur all the time and they keep their lights on 24 hours due to surplus of power.
Really sorry for your loss Nancy. The thought itself is so scary.

I hope it takes 50 years for your father to fully have the ALS symptoms Snigdha. On the other hand, Iceland looks like some Land-lost-in time. And what surprises me in these very cold places is the apparently very thin glasses in their windows
Beautiful ! Beautiful ! Beautiful ! Iceland is on my bucket list. I'm a RN & my husband had shingles with lesions even rupturing his eardrum. Six weeks later he became very ill, &, was in ICU & transferred by ambulance to a larger hospital. They couldn't find anything for months . Liver biopsies revealed masses , but tested negative for cancer. He didn't make it, but, to cut my story short, I've been told told by the doctors , that the shingles occurred because other areas of the body were weakened . That might be the same cause of shingles with your Dad. ALS was starting to manifest itself.
