I had the absolute biggest crush on a girl named Gloria when we were teens back in the 1980s. We re-connected on Facebook a few years ago and have remained friends. Both of us have been married to our spouses for over 30 years. (Don't worry, this is a wholesome story). A few years ago she called me out of the blue and it was obvious that she was either drunk or over-medicated. We talked about the old days and she told me that she had a major crush on me back then, but that my big sister threatened her to stay away from me because my sister didn't want me to get distracted from my schoolwork by getting too mixed up with a girlfriend. She and I laughed about it. I later called my sister and asked her about it. She said that she didn't remember doing that, but it sounds like something she could have done.

Yes was a hand-held Nintendo gaming system.

This Neapolitan is in the wrong order. Vanilla goes in the middle.

I just had an outpatient procedure at my local hospital. The parking fee was $12, but the hospital validates and gives a discount, so it was knocked down to $3.00.

Hugo is the person we avoid at parties.

Garlic is to ward off vampires. Onions are what you wear on your belt ( as was the style at the time ).

Great Simpsons reference!

This is not uncommon. My wife grew up in a very urban area and had either a mail slot or a box attached to her house her entire life. I, on the other hand, grew up in a more rural area and we had streetside mailboxes with the flag. When we moved into our first house in the suburbs, I had to explain to her that the flag was to notify the letter carrier that there was outgoing mail in the box. You don't know what you've never experienced.
