I can understand why the people who know her/him before find it difficult to associate themselves. If you have interacted/shared/got involve with a woman then one fine day she meets you as a man, that's hard to digest. So the change is sometimes drastic....I don't think it's easy of have a lady friend one day and look at him as a guy the next. I guess as much as we can accept the new change, we also must accept there are ppl who can't accept it. I think it would be easier if you met the person after the change...then it would be easy to accept.
