When I lived at the countryside a local stray catmom came to me for a few days. I gave her some food and later she brought her two kittens. She wandered off and left them with me. They were very shy at first but build trust quickly and became very close to me. They lived with me for couple of months when one day the mother returned. The little kitty family stayed for a few more days and then went on to other adventures.

I got absolutely pummeled by my cat with her cone. She ended up in the cone 3 times in a couple months from surgery, then complications from the surgery. She's fine now. Well, minus an eye. But she's my little Pirate so I forgive her for trying to kill me with the cone.
