Fun fact... usually kids in French call the male "husband of" and the female "wife of". For instance, we'd say "wife of the dog" instaed of b***h. So I totally get what this person was trying to say !

Yes, I think this is the core issue why (mostly) men are against feminism - not that they don't understand. Even if they gain a lot by equality they must give up privileges that they are used to. Men who are stuck in "what about"-ism land often complain about less parental rights and having to be the "breadwinner" (for example) BUT they don't want to trade that for having to do their share of parental responsibility, housework, emotional load and give up their higher income and status in society for example.
