Respect The Vest

Would someone go up to a Police officer while performing their duty, start asking them questions? What about going up to a firefighter while fighting a fire? A service dog is doing a duty to protect his/her human from harm, either internal or external. This is often the reason I have issue with people simply calling any animal they own an "emotional support animal" without ever having the animal trained. If the animal has been trained, is wearing it's uniform, then you watch quietly from afar. If a dog with a vest comes to you, you follow it. Don't pet it, don't play with it, you ask where it's owner is, and you follow it because someone is in real and actual trouble.

In my opinion each & every service dog should get such a vest, I never ever tried to pet a "seeing eye dog" because I know they´re on duty & not there for being petted...
