There's a difference between being an extrovert and being more socially active though. If no one ever forced me to interact with people, I would be living alone with no friends whatsoever. I've learnt that the world is designed for extroverts so sometimes you just have to fake it till you make it. The first couple of times might be awful, after a while you don't really mind.

As a person who knows biology, I get bothered by how we say "get our energy from" in this context. It's more like "situations in which we feel comfortable / can compose ourselves".
