Was this some time ago? Didn’t the job offer include health care benefits? Which, btw, can no longer exclude one because of preexisting or chronic conditions. Ya, that’s the law now & may seem theoretical with how some companies onboard, but if they offer health care the insurance company cannot exclude diabetes. And I can’t imagine a job worth relocating someone wouldn’t have benefits. It used to be horrible with the preexisting clauses, but that’s a thing of the past.

And again everything is about the USA. There is a large world out there that does not involve 'Merica!

But don't wait too long. You don't want to be an 80 year old attending your child's high School graduation.

I had a cousin who was training as that. She quit training when she found out the only way she could get a job in her area was if the current ASL interpreter died. And she couldn't afford to move.
