Keanu I don't understand why anyone would fine breastfeeding shocking, unless they are sexualizing it. It is clear from the title of the article that the content is breastfeeding imagery. Many see a beautiful bond, moments worth remembering between a mother and child. Those that would rather not see it are not obligated to click on it. To label it as 'mature content" would suggest that there is something lacking in innocence, that younger audiences shouldn't see. I strongly disagree with that point of view, because I don't think breastfeeding should be equated with anything sexual. To publish an article stating breastfeeding should not be taboo and then place a mature warning screen on each picture directly contradicts the entire point of the article!

Breasts are not being shown in a sexual context. Breasts are being shown in the context they were intended for by nature: nurturing babies. "This stuff" is completely innocent and should be totally normal for anyone to see. As normal as bottle feeding. Or do you think that might shock teens too?

The post talks about how difficult it can be. Did you read it? But I don't think dirty shirts and sweaty pants are most Moms takeaway from breastfeeding.

The point of this series is to show the beauty and connection. The value, the love, the details to forever look back on. I see the merit in your idea too. That would definitely be interesting and along the lines of some birth Photography. These images were not glamorized however. I document the moments as they happened naturally. No elaborate re touching took place. The point is to accept breastfeeding as normal regardless of what Moms are wearing or if they brushed their hair.

Yes!!! Thank you Patri!!! <3
