I was too. Going to stop here because it isn't good for me. But I got to say I got a tiny bit of comfort by the outrage. Today the hate and xenophobia feels really loud and it is really hard to remember it's a minority of people. So thank you all for sharing your hurt. It helped me. And it's OK to stop the doom scrolling. Google good news today. There are several sites that only post good stuff. Scientific achievements, discoveries, people doing good things. I sense it's going to be important to seek out that stuff the coming for plus years.

And women. I don't understand why women can vote for a man who very clearly has nothing but contempt for them. And Christians, how can a truly religious person vote for all that hatred. I'll never understand. This could reshape the world.

The USA has never been completely safe for trans/gay people. My son is gay - we drew a like across the state map and told him to NEVER EVER travel south of that line without an escort (witness, bodyguard). It sucks that so many people STILL have their heads up their @sses.

I’m still in the denial/nausea stage with bursts of despair and blind rage.
