Yeah. I'm so done with humans. Dragonkin like me have it really bad because when people think dragon, they think hoard of treasure, kidnapping princesses, carnivore, etc., and expect those behaviors to carry over to real life. My only hoard is my insane number of books, I never want to hurt or scare anyone, princess or otherwise, and sure I eat cheeseburgers, but I'm perfectly happy chowing down on a peanut butter sandwich.
Vocals are a therian thing. Also, I have an OC named Aurora who happens to be an anthropomorphic wolf, and the number of times I've been called a furry while talking about her is staggering.

Well… one possible exception. There's a boss theme in the game Undertale Yellow called "A Mother's Love", but it's not called that solely because Ceroba is female; it's called that because her love for her daughter and desire to save little Kanako from her awful fate that drives her to fight you.
I don't entirely know if these count, but to me, there are two characters who somewhat fit this role (apologies in advance for the brick of text): Annabeth Chase: She's freaking awesome. What I love about Annabeth is she's not like her demigod friends. Her boyfriend Percy can control water and speak to horses and sea life, her friend Frank can shapeshift, Leo can build ridiculous things with few resources, etc., but Annabeth, as a daughter of Athena, doesn't have any of that. She just has her wits. Ceroba Ketsukane: Is Ceroba pretty? If you're into anthro characters, maybe. But she's just doing the best she can under the circumstances. Skipping over a long lore discussion, Ceroba lost her daughter and husband and is now grieving. Sure, she has crazy powers, but she doesn't use them because she's fighting for good. She's not evil, but in her own words, she's "so far down her dark road that this is the only way out I can find."
