Guy’s Red-Eye Relaxation Shattered After Passenger Behind Him Literally Slaps Him Awake
Guy’s Red-Eye Relaxation Shattered After Passenger Behind Him Literally Slaps Him Awake

Okay, so it sounds like the wife seated next to him was awake during this. Couldn’t airpod guy have *verbally* gotten HER attention and explained so that she (somebody who OP is used to being touched by) could *gently* partially wake him just long enough to move the seat? Just saying.

The fact that it’s ‘a book about physics’ makes me think it’s not actually the academic pursuit she’s trying to indicate. Particle, propulsion, quantum? Or is it not a book we’d recognize if you named it because you’re so much smarter and better than us?

Someone Wanted To Know Immoral But Legal Ways To Make Money And 28 People Delivered

Same. I have EDS and often have to go to my chiropractor to get subluxed joints put right. Some, like my fingers and even shoulders, I’ve learned to do myself by this point, but hips and ribs and whatnot you really need somebody else’s help and a good chiropractor become invaluable.

35 Scary Travel Experiences Which Made People Stop And Think Before Their Next Trip, As Shared By Our Community
35 Scary Travel Experiences Which Made People Stop And Think Before Their Next Trip, As Shared By Our Community

Right!? Very scary. I can understand not having my maiden name in the US system maybe because I was Canadian born under that name, but I was legally married and issued new US documents with my married name on them. The only explanation they had was that I’d been married less than three months prior and my new name wasn’t in there *yet*

Vegan Woman Tricked Into Eating Meat By Boyfriend’s Family, Makes Sure They Regret It
Vegan Woman Tricked Into Eating Meat By Boyfriend’s Family, Makes Sure They Regret It

Honestly, being a lifelong vegetarian, I’ve had people try to trick me into eating meat several times, and the one who succeeded was met with my vomit immediately. As in, at the table. I couldn’t control it. He didn’t realize until we talked about it afterwards that his prank was capable of causing me physical harm and that he was kind of stepping on my rights to decide how I live my own life. After that conversation he understood fine and we’re actually still good friends. So while I don’t blame OP, I do think that at some point she needs to have that convo with her prospective in-laws. Puke without an explanation makes her look like a jerk, but puke that they learn is entirely justified and represents actual intestinal distress might make them rethink their own a-holeness.

Guy Explains Why Hospital Bills In The USA Are So Expensive
Guy Explains Why Hospital Bills In The USA Are So Expensive

TLDR: once NY determined that I was disabled and couldn’t work, they decided I needed to pay more for cancer treatment. When I first found out I had stage three breast cancer (at 32) I was waiting for my disability hearing (I have a genetic disease). I was immediately put on emergency medicaid, which covered everything in full. Half way through treatment, I had my hearing and won my disability. The government of NY then promptly kicked me off the medicaid and forced me to buy into a medicare plan that only covers 30% of most bills. It resulted in over $19,000 in medical debt for treatments that I literally would’ve died without. So basically, in my state, healthy people who are poor get their bills paid for, but once you’re disabled and poor you apparently don’t deserve as much help.

Actually I think that law varies by state. Where I live in NY if you accepted the ring in good faith and began planning a wedding that was later called off, the ring is considered a gift and thus remains the property of the bride. This happened to a friend of mine some years ago and that was the outcome.

Jealous Boss Tells Employee He’s No Longer Allowed To Bring In “Elaborate Lunches”
Jealous Boss Tells Employee He’s No Longer Allowed To Bring In “Elaborate Lunches”

I've worked in four different music shops in two states, and a motorcycle shop, that had no break rooms. I also worked in a long-defunct department store where I don't recall a break room. It was in a mall and I took my breaks in the food court.
