I am a self-taught portuguese artist born in South Africa. I have always shown an interest in the diversity of cultures and traditions that surrounded me. The free use of color caracterizes my work and it is the way I represent and celebrate the diversity that characterizes our world.

This is Lis' corner at my house! The works on the left depict 2 icons from Minho's folklore: the "Coração de Viana" (= Viana's heart) and the "Galo de Barcelos" (= Rooster of Barcelos). Minho is a region in the North of Portugal and it happens to be my mother's birthplace, so when I saw them, I knew I had to have them!
