Thank you. We never get to have these conversations without parents of children jumping in to tell us why it's so awesome, and our reasons are just silly things we should get over. My cousins -- again, I'm the only one without kids -- have been hammering me for 25+ years that I can't POSSIBLY be as happy and fulfilled in life because I don't have children, like THEY do! I can't imagine going up to them every time I see them and harraunging, "But why don't you have a PhD? That's not a valid reason! I LOVE MY PHD! No, that's just an excuse, you're being selfish. How can you possibly be happy without a PhD?!?" But they have no problem suggesting that I'm "judging" them because I said "No, kids wouldn't make me happy." JFC, let people make their own choices!

My parents should've never had me. For a few reasons. I'd also like to put in, that given the chance I would opt out of not being born. I never asked to be here. I don't want to be in this horrible world where.... PEOPLE THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CONTROL OTHER PEOPLE. I'm not bringing in a child to put up with people that would try to change their ideas and beliefs because it matches their agenda.
