My dad used to work with a man like this. He came home one day and told us about the horrific vitriol this guy was spewing, and I asked him if he called the guy out for it, went to HR, anything... He didn't. He claimed that he didn't want to start drama because he worked with the guy... Just from my personal experience with men, A) it's statistically likely that the average guy has or will interact with a man like this at some point, and B) otherwise decent men rarely call this behavior out, even when it's blatantly obvious. Also, if we assume that a non-dangerous man is dangerous, at worst, his feelings get hurt. If we assume a dangerous man is non-dangerous, we potentially end up in a body bag. We -have- to assume the worst.

I would've called the police... If this guy is cruel to one animal, he could be cruel to others - not to mention that he could also become a*****e to his partner(s) in the future. I feel like creating a paper trail of his a-holiness would've been a good idea.

They're just freeloaders. Funny how they keep the "babysitting" bit in their heads without remembering the "paying" bit. 😄

It doesn't matter if the friend lives with her parents, by herself, with a horde of sentient gerbils, or with a bunch of trolls under a bridge. She's still forcing herself onto OP nearly every week and eating $40-$60 worth of OP's food every single time.
