No, vandalism implies damage to public property or someone's private property. I️ purchase used books, usually from a charitable source like goodwill, and repurpose them. I️ am not ransacking libraries to get my materials.
Wow. I️ think that's an overreaction. There are literally millions of copies of these books, they're still in print, and I️ buy them used. My work is a celebration of literature, not a desecration. I️ am not ashamed of myself in the slightest, let alone horrifically ashamed, but thanks for suggesting that I️ should be! Always nice to see things from a new perspective.
