My niece's name is Samantha (she goes by Sammie). We named one of our cats Sammy (two of our five cats are sisters that we named Frankie and Sammy after Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. of The Rat Pack). My niece thought is was cool that the cat had her name!
