James is a Bored Panda reporter who graduated with a BA in Peace And Conflict Studies and an MA in African Affairs. Before Bored Panda, he was an English teacher and also travelled a lot, doing odd jobs from beer-slinging to brickie's labourer and freelance journalism along the way. James loves covering stories about social and environmental issues and prefers to highlight the positive things that unite us, rather than petty internet squabbles about fictional characters. Everything about that story is false - public stonings are as far from Comorian culture as could be. From your description of the police you were in Mayotte, which is subject to French law. Everyone involved would be sent to prison for a long time. How did you know it was for adultery? How did you know what happened to the male? I'm willing to bet a lot of money that you are just anti Muslim, and don't appreciate positive coverage of Islamic countries
