If your dog gets sprayed by a skunk, DO NOT GET HIM OR HER WET. You are not dealing with an odor, you are dealong with an oil stain. Wash the dog down with laundry oil removers. THEN pour dishwashing liquid on them, scrub them THEN hose them down. OR buy a product called Odor Mute. I have been using it for years. The reason you do not wash the dog first is because, as you know, WATER sets an oil stain. Get the oil out first THEN bathe the dog. Then use the Odor Mute. 39 years of dealing with skunks.
