Person with Asperger's syndrome here. This statement is true, but it’s grammatically incorrect and hard to read.
Actually that’s wrong. In the 1940´s when the war was in its fiercest, Black Amaricans were actually welcomed and congratulated and were often thanked for their service (however plenty didn’t receive their medals). Now the Nazi‘s on the other hand viewed them as „Untermesch“ or „Under human“. Basically when a African American became a prisoner of war they were treated the same as others. Except for the name calling.
