The stewardess walked around before take-off with a little bowl with cotton in it, everyone took a piece to put in their ears, the plane was extremely noisy. When we landed everyone applauded. It was all worth it because that was the gateway into heaven, the most beautiful world beyond that one scary flight. On the way out, take off was just as nerve-wracking.
