Yes, and since she Noor said that domestication happens over thousands of years properally, why not let this domestication continue if that is true? Because cats were in similar stages centuries ago, things take time we can't speed up domestication- not that she is suggesting that but, why must dogs and cats be the only approved pet? I think it is because it is the most common, just as many people agree with eating meat very frequently: because it is *perceived* as normal. :]

So, no one should own dogs? They were once wild too. So were cats and I'm sure horses. If we go back far enough, we'd probably find that all of our so-called 'domesticated' animals were once wild. Foxes have been domesticated for 100s of years. No more "selfish" than having a dog

And as for your comment, Noir, saying that there are only a handful of breeders and few pet foxes, you'd be greatly surprised. There are hundreds of fox owners, and MANY breeders.

Actually, the fox population was falling dramatically before this happened. Since they've also become pets (decades ago) the population has risen quite a bit. I do not keep them because they are "cool". That's equivalent (in my case) to saying that I keep a cat because it's cool. I have my foxes in a loving and nurturing environment, and they seem to be very happy... So I see no problem. Please stop wishing death upon me, especially since you don't know me or my age. I've done extensive research and care for them, and though I appreciate your concern for my pets' welfare, I can tell you that they're safe and out of harm's way.
