I live in London, in the east end, although I was not born there. Family is Scottish on both sides. Have worked in education, in various jobs, for nearly 40 years.

I knew the gaps on American toilet stalls were big, but big enough to witness a guy eating grapes...??

I was going to say, I hope they alerted staff at the next station.

Dad is like "Yeah, but this is the rock I won her heart with, that baby wouldn't exist if this rock hadn't come first" XD

Neither did my ex until we went to buy a house and his credit score was low because he had never been in debt. They actually said " well how do we know you are good with paying this debt because you have never proven you can pay a debt".

How's it broken and then being used 90mins later?

Wallis was a N**i sympathizer. Despicable woman whose only contribution was getting an equally racist monarch off the throne.

Why does it always have to be a competition over who has/had it harder?

I remember taking my class to a free preview showing of Aladdin (no memory of how the school got the tickets!) When we left the cinema one of the kids took my hand and said "This was the best day EVER!" Will never forget it.

Same! There was a story here recently about a guy who broke up with his girlfriend because that's how she ate. He couldn't even take her to a nice restaurant because she'd either order grilled cheese or go get nuggets at McDonald's if they wouldn't serve it. (Of course if you have ARFID that's a different matter than just being picky - it's a medical condition)
I don't care about the reason I am not dating someone who eats like a toddler.

They look like brothers who are also cousins.

Look, I have to count on my fingers to translate 24hr time sometimes, as it's not intuitive when you weren't taught it and it's not pervasive. Almost all of our systems here in the US are 12hr time, not 24hr time, unless you're literally in the military. We say "AM/PM" instead of the numerical equivalent. That being said... I CAN count on my fingers to very easily figure out what time 18:00 is XD Any American who bítches about 24hr time and demands that someone "translate it to American time" for them is just a lazy ídiot.
