Hello! Profile picture is a cropped and remastered version of The Blue Marble: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:The_Blue_Marble_(remastered).jpg I was formerly known as Jess Smith but changed it to this. Evagation, according to Merriam-Webster, is "a wandering of the mind". Evagating, thus, is the act of having one's mind wander. A beewolf is a real animal that occurs near where I live, according to INaturalist. AuDHD Jewish Pittsburgher. Interested in interesting stuff (yes I know that's a tautology). This bit used to be about the election in the US, but now it's happened. So. Don't give up. You can't give up; giving up lets them win. Giving up is what they want. Fight them every step of the way. "Bad men need nothing more to compass their ends, than that good men should look on and do nothing." ~ John Stuart Mill, philosopher "[T]he opposite of life is not death, but indifference[.]" ~ Elie Wiesel, Nobel prizewinner and Holocaust survivor.

Oh, it's you, the Holocaust inversion person! Yes, it is, but blaming Jews for it is odd. We've got under 17 million people (hell, I think that was our population peak - in 1939!) If you're to blame someone, Christians and Muslims have more people who follow that religion and, if they saw fit, could have simply condemned it.

Excuse me. In what respect is moral outrage over Israel doing 'way worse' actions justified? After all, we can say number of sufferers doesn't matter--in which case both have done horrifically inhumane things. Or we can say it does. In which case, your outrage is entirely focused on the wrong group. The Middle East isn't very populated; the entire population of Palestine and Lebanon is, last I checked, 11.2 million. There are about 11.5 million Uyghurs in China, and over 1 million detained people, per Wikipedia. According to the World Food Program, more people face acute/emergency/crisis levels of food insecurity/hunger in Afghanistan, DRC, Nigeria & Sudan than people in Palestine & Lebanon. But there is only silence. Ukraine has had many more deaths than Gaza; silence. Syria? Silence. Yemen? Silence. Sudan and South Sudan, Afghanistan, North Korea, all of which have been ranked by Freedom House as having less freedom than the Gaza strip? Silence. If you care about people and, like a human, don't have infinite time and energy to care about everything, why are you not clamoring for Sudanese, Yemenis, Somalis? For North Koreans, Ukrainians, Congolese, Nigerians? For Afghanis, Uyghurs, Rohingya? What makes the suffering of Palestinians and Lebanese unique?

not millions. Both Military and Civilian since 1948 only 150k total dead, and that includes all deaths, including the 8 Arab Counties involved in the many wars. We had that number in 1 year in Yemen
