When it comes to grade school and elementary school children, purchasing reasonably priced slightly oversized shoes and letting them wear them as long as possible is just smart parenting. Young kids simply don't care about things like footwear (they'd happily go barefoot 24/7), and they outgrow them quickly. It's far more annoying when parents insist on buying their toddlers overpriced shoes that only fit for a few months. It's wasteful and unnecessary.
