No. One. Is. Removing. Genitals. No one is sterilizing anyone. FFS, I spent 30 years trying to get a hysterectomy and couldn't, why the f**k do you think they're handing them out to the average 13 year old? Sweetie? Trans kids use puberty blockers. When someone stops taking puberty blockers, they... go through puberty. This is so they DON'T HAVE TO "get breasts removed" later. Every single queer person you talk to knows early on that they are queer, usually by the time they're 5. The fact that you link transitioning to self harm already shows that you don't understand any of this. Much like piercings/tattoos, sexual partners, any of it, someone else's gender identity IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. You've heard one biased viewpoint, and it is not in any way representational. Do better.

Who cares? Mind your own f*****g business and let the people transitioning live their lives and make their own decisions with the people around them. Most of the "real risks" are because of people like you.

Also mixed up with Rapunzel, who gave birth to twins wandering a desert after the witch kicks her out of the tower. A lot of these tales have similar elements interchanged. Maria Tatar is a great resource if you want to read up on the history of folk- and fairy tales.
