I can confirm mountain lions makes a terrifying sound. I got way too close to a juvenile (on accident) about 25 years ago. I'll never forget that sound.

I've been saying that for years.

I wish they'd just stick to one time, I don't even care anymore which one.

So the 'never frozen' bit is a lie.

The banjos are getting louder 😳

Intentionally or not, this person hurt their bully worse than you can imagine. The bully carried their burden for all those years, and never got the absolution they needed.

I really want to believe that the reports of modern sightings are true.

My bully tried reaching out to me on facebook as if we were always friends. She was my friend in primary school but in high school, she just forgot she was my friend and joined a group who made my life a misery. She also told them stuff about my family which fuelled their bullying of me. She requested me as a friend around 10 years after high school and was all "Hey how are you?" I just kept pretending that I couldn't place her. Lots of "Were you friends with..?" and "were you in my English group?" "Sorry, I just don't remember you" until she blocked me. She knew what I was doing.

I always tell people to look at photos and videos from New York in the 1970s, not stuff that's meant to look gritty, but just general everyday people walking past the park or down by the harbor. Abandoned vehicles, filthy sidewalks, garbage everywhere, and de@th could literally be around any corner. Now, our violent crime rates have plummeted and in most cases life is better for almost everyone. From the 1960s to the 1990s violent crime numbers quadrupled in the US. Current numbers show a reduction of 34% in violent crime between 1994 and 2022. I'm not saying everything is perfect, far from it. But I think it is VERY important to focus on facts rather than feelings.

Very out-of-touch. Anyone who was old enough to remember the '70s should be able to vouch, they were brutal. Really bad, depressing. The 1980s and much of the 90s were pretty glorious in comparison. Even today isn't so bad in comparison. Presentism hides yesterday's reality.
