Chiharu Shiota is a Japanese installation artist born in 1972 in Osaka. She has been living and working in Berlin since 1996. Exhibited "The Key in the Hand" for the 56th Venice Biennale in 2015. Studied at the Seika University in Kyoto and at various schools in Germany. While in Germany, she studied with Marina Abramović. Currently, she is represented by ARNDT in Berlin, BlainSouthern in London and Galerie Daniel Templon in Paris.
