I awake each day, nestled between the foothills of Casper Mountain and the banks of the North Platte river. I am a 50-something Christian SAHM, raising the most amazing young man on a disability budget. I have a warped, dry sense of humor, which often gets me in trouble. I have a gorgeous ten year old calico kitty named Abby, and am happy to sit for hours reading about other folks’ cat monsters. I fully agree with the statement, “Cats are @$$holes.” Case in point, I have a plant cutting in a pitcher on my dining room table, waiting to be potted. My cat, who has not one but THREE water sources, chooses to drink my plant’s water. I’ve taken to carrying the squirt gun around. I now only have to say her name, show it to her, and she’s off that table like an arrow! (update: after a visit to the vet, we found out Abby is diabetic - just like in me! The always thirsty thing makes perfect sense now) (Update to the update: It hurts to have to share that my sweet Abby Jane passed over the rainbow bridge on May 24, 2022 from complications of feline diabetes, specifically, ketoacidosis. I will never be the same. Abby was a part of me. I’m sure we will have other cats, but none will ever be able to fill the Abby-shaped hole in my heart.) {Update to the Update’s update: On 09/01/2022, we unironically adopted a ten year old calico kitty, whom we named Chloe. She is the most cuddly, sweetest girl I’ve ever met. She bed-hops between my son’s loft bed, to my adjustable bed, to her own little kitty bed; she even hangs out on the back of the couch, observing the neighborhood from the giant living room window. CRAZY Coincidence - Chloe is ALSO obsessed with drinking the plant water!

Chair: "The cat used my leg as a scratching post - so I ate him."

I keep looking at it, waiting for the punch line.

I was just going to say, what happens if she says, “No” but insists on doing it as a surprise reveal tattoo in the box.

Maybe starting with the ink at his chin level. It’s all going downward from there, anyway.
