And speaking for myself (a not-very-girly-at-all woman), especially when I was little, I loved pink, girly stuff and things in "boy colours" just didn't catch my attention. And no, I wasn't raised to think like that, quite on the contrary. That being said, if you're a girl and you like "boy stuff" or the other way around, just pick the variant you actually like.
