Britt Marie Bye is a photographer based in Harstad/Oslo, Norway. Her work is rooted in the nostalgic and melancholic feelings of detachment and a distance from the present. The theme of abandonment is strong in Britt’s photographic storytelling. Whether through photos of lonely desolate houses, or as staged tableaus in forsaken homes.

If everyone could bare with me. I am not trying to be dramatic, I am just more comfortable in BP, and have been made to feel like I have a voice. I am 55, old, busted up, and A sexual (I have no gender feelies and never have) I married, and divorced, but have a wonderful son. Because I was supposed to. I went through the motions and hid for so long. Because I was supposed to. I am sorry for taking up your time, and understand if it’s not okay. Just felt like everyone was sharing coming out. I just needed to tell someone, my secret. Truth furthermore, if I could, I would choose the company and companionship of another female. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I apologize if this isn’t the time or place, or angered anyone. I didn’t mean to.
He clearly wanted a one night stand.

All these houses do have owners. 😊 Owners who abandoned and don't care for the property, yes - but it would still be illegal to occupy one of these houses.

Wood was cheap and easily accessible in Norway. 😊

Locking her in a box is torture. She just traded for a bigger box. This woman is a selfish fool, sable are not pets.

Naturally, the man is an idiot. But BP used to be a lighter place, for pleasant and interesting and uplifting things. Now there are more and more of these articles designed to provoke outrage or contempt. Just for the clicks, BP? This isn't what got you your audience - we can find clickbait, two-minute-hates, and gender wars garbage anywhere else on the internet - this site was once a pleasant refuge from all that. Can we get back there, please?
