I'm kind of with you. I know my parents (not even boomer, but gen Y) are sitting on a fortune, same with one of my grandmas. Brother & I don't expect anything, but we made clear, that we two won't be able to afford to take care of them by ourselves, or any kind of caretaking in a quality we wish for them. We asked them to please think of that, since neither of us earns enough to put away any real savings, despite having a good education and learned a trade.
