This is not a Christmas decoration! It is a sculpture by artist Paul McCarthy. It's whimsically called "Tree" but it was always meant to be a butt plug. It was put up for an art fair, not around Christmas. It only stood there for a couple days before some people, who were probably offended by it, cut down the cables that supported it.

Huh, that was a weird decision.
Why would you write in the title that those pictures are of Europe when the third one (showing a room full of sand) was taken in Namibia? You said it yourself in a Huff Post article: http://quebec.huffingtonpost.ca/romain-veillon/kolmanskop-les-sables-du-temps_b_5551479.html
