Thank you for posting this! It was helpful. I will share with a friend who is struggling with this one.

Live in the moment, in the now. You're not dead right now and neither are they. Your stress isn't a solution to these eventualities, it's not practical at all. You may stress when it happens, not before. And I assure you: you will be OK when it happens, because that time too is lived in moments and not as an avalanche. You are OK. You are built to experience life in moments and they're always in the here and now. You are built for this. You're a natural too and you will find so once you let your controlling mind back off a bit.

Everything is from China and yes the fake reviews are horrible. It shouldn't be allowed. I reported some fake reviews and nothing was done. You get to where you don't trust any of them.

The head referee at a football game (at least the high school ones) has a white cap.

Not just Canada. Some US engineering schools, too, including Cleveland State Univ. (Ohio). I was at a village council meeting and the civil engineer wore one. He went to CSU. The ring is worn on one's working hand (so if you're left-handed, you wear it on that hand) so that it trails as you write, which serves as a constant reminder of your oath to do good work. It's a source of pride for the engineers I know.

The linguist might be correct, but can't we be more classy in making arguments? Why do we have to stoop to sounding superior? I love an argument that puts the facts out there without swearing. Of course, language changes over time and swearing is become commonplace and accepted, even among academicians, but I long for academic civility.

Too bad he reveals himself as an MRA freak at the end of his little screed. I'm not saying he's wrong, but someone can be right and still be a whiny jackass.

Even if it wasn’t the correct way. She’s still right about the fact that we live in a very patriarchal and misogynistic society. Words can be used against women in many ways.
