Your observation would make sense in another movie but not in LOTR. Clearly, you didn't read the book and you didn't pay attention to the plot of the movies either. This is not a hive behavior. The Orcs fight because they fear Sauron and his captains. With Sauron's death, his motivation disappears. Besides that, the power of Sauron's captains, like the Nazgul, disappeared with the death of their master. Even Mordor only exists because of Sauron's power. Try to read the book before criticizing. LOTR is not just entertainment. It is high quality literature and the film adaptation was very well done.
