Thank you so much! I really appreciate your comment. The skulls come from local farmers, nature enthusiasts or trappers. I purchase the skulls that would otherwise be discarded. I respect the animals that I work with and my goal is to repurpose the skull to create something beautiful. I trained to be an Archaeologist and always was interested in skulls from a young age, I would collect them on our farm land and clean them up to paint or carve them. I found them so intrinsically beautiful and this art has helped form new connections to nature and deepen my respect for natural cycles.

I have the required permits to purchase and sell these Lynx and Wolf skulls. They come from a taxidermist in rural Saskatchewan. The permits are given from Environment Canada and all appropriate legal processes are followed. Many times, the skull is discarded, this way at least the skull of these animals is being honoured.
